What is Spanish for Kids: Learn & Play?
It's a bilingual early-learning app for children roughly ages 3 to 9. It teaches everyday Spanish words, the Spanish alphabet, and real sentences alongside Math, Science, Computers, General Knowledge, and English, all paired with English text and native Spanish audio.
What ages is the app designed for?
Roughly ages 3 to 9. During setup you pick an age band, and lessons and practice difficulty are paced to match.
Do I need to speak Spanish to help my child use it?
No. Every word, letter, and sentence shows Spanish alongside English text and includes native Spanish audio, so a parent with no Spanish background can follow along and support their child just as easily.
Is this suitable for a complete beginner?
Yes. The app starts with everyday words and the alphabet — vowels and consonants with native audio — before moving on to sentences, so a child with no exposure to Spanish has a clear way in.
How do I get started?
Download the app, create a profile for your child with their name and age band, and pick a section to start with. No account setup or Spanish knowledge is required.
Can more than one child use the app?
Yes. You can create up to two child profiles, and each child's lessons, streaks, and progress are tracked separately.

Does the app teach the Spanish alphabet?
Yes. All 27 letters — vowels and consonants — are taught with native audio and a guided tracing board that shows the correct stroke for each letter, so children learn to write them, not just recognize the shapes.
Does it teach real sentences, not just single words?
Yes. There are 20 Spanish sentences with build-the-sentence drills, which build on the vocabulary and letters your child has already learned and feed directly into the app's Practice levels.
What subjects does the app teach?
Nine learning sections: Learn Words, the Spanish Alphabet, Writing, Sentences, General Knowledge, Math, Science, Computers, and English — plus Coloring, Drawing, Bedtime Stories, a Sounds library, and a Parent & Young matching activity.
How many words does the app cover?
95 words across 12 topics — animals, body parts, colors, family, feelings, fruits, manners, nature, numbers, occupations, vegetables, and vehicles. Every word has an illustration and native Spanish audio.
Does it teach about the Spanish-speaking world?
Yes. General Knowledge includes a dedicated Spanish-Speaking World track — countries and flags, cities and landmarks, and culture and traditions across the Spanish-speaking world, not just one country — alongside a separate world-geography track and an inventions track, 66 lessons across 8 levels in total.
Does it teach Math and Science?
Yes. Math covers addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across four topics of six steps each. Science has 45 lessons across five levels — weather and seasons, nature, the life cycle, food chains, and space.
What does the Computers subject cover?
53 lessons across five levels: how computers work, what's inside one, a "Stop, Think, Ask" online-safety unit, smart online habits, and an AI literacy unit on telling real from generated. It's digital literacy, not coding.
Does it teach English too, or only Spanish?
Both. Alongside the Spanish-focused sections there's a dedicated English subject across four levels — letters A–I, J–R, S–Z, and first words — so practice runs in both directions.
Does the app record my child's voice or score their pronunciation?
No. The app plays native Spanish audio for every word, letter, and sentence so children can listen and repeat, but it does not record a child's voice or grade their pronunciation.

Is Spanish for Kids: Learn & Play free?
It's free to download, and every subject includes a free set of topics your child can use right away — including half of the Learn Words topics and several full bedtime stories. An optional subscription, including a lifetime option, unlocks the remaining topics; current pricing is shown on the App Store and in the app before you buy.
What's included for free?
A meaningful slice of every subject: 6 of the 12 Learn Words topics, 5 of the 8 bedtime stories, and the first level of Math, Science, Computers, General Knowledge, English, and Sentences — plus the entire Sounds library.
If I subscribe and then stop, does my child lose what they finished?
No. Topics your child has already completed stay unlocked permanently — completed content is never re-locked.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, at any time from your Apple ID account settings. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Are there any other in-app purchases?
No. There are no coins, gems, loot boxes, or one-off content purchases — just the free tier and the subscription that unlocks the rest.

Safety & Privacy
Is the app safe for kids?
Yes. There are no ads, no third-party tracking, and no chat or social features — the app is built as a focused, private space with children's safety in mind. It carries a 4+ age rating.
Does the app show ads?
No. Spanish for Kids: Learn & Play has no ads at all, free or paid.
Does the app track my child's data?
No third-party tracking is used. The only data collected is anonymous usage data for analytics and app functionality, which is not linked to your child's identity and never used for advertising, and personalized ads are switched off entirely.
Are there chat or social features?
No. There is no chat, messaging, or social feed of any kind, and no way for another person to contact your child inside the app.
Why does the app ask for camera and photo access?
Only so a child can set a profile picture, and so a finished coloring page can be saved to your photo library. Both are optional — declining them doesn't affect any lesson.
Can my child change settings or make purchases on their own?
No. Parent settings, the dashboard, and purchase screens sit behind a parent gate that asks a simple math question a young child can't answer.

Is Spanish for Kids: Learn & Play available on Android?
Not currently. The app is available for iPhone and iPad on the Apple App Store only.
What iOS version does it need?
iOS 16.0 or later. It runs on both iPhone and iPad.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Every lesson, audio clip, and illustration is bundled inside the app, so it works with no internet connection at all once installed.
What languages is the app's own interface available in?
English and Spanish. You can switch the app's menus and buttons between English and Spanish independent of your device's language setting — the lesson content itself is always taught in Spanish.
Can parents track their child's progress?
Yes, through a parent dashboard showing daily streaks, a 7-day activity view, weekly play-time goals, and which topics have been completed.
Does it have a home screen widget?
Yes. An iOS home screen widget shows your child's current streak and progress at a glance.
Does it have screen-time limit controls?
Not currently. Parents can set weekly goals and see activity on the dashboard, but there isn't a hard daily time-limit lockout today.
